I do, however feel that ‘the system’ is doing what it was designed to do (which was not to serve the wellbeing of all people, life and planet).
Maybe an approach like donut economics may have fared better, with indigenous wisdom eg 7 generations thinking. Who knows, we seem to be cyclical beings, like everything else.
This Jan has been such a huge turning point that I’m not messing around trying to make ‘the systems’ change, anymore. They won’t allow it.
My energy is going into creating new ways of being, and remembering old ones.
Yes, a lot of what I want to explore together is exactly the idea that the system is doing exactly what it was designed to do. Part of my sense of "no villains" is that I know lots of broadly well-intentioned people, doing the best they can and responding to the culture and incentives around them. But that adds up to bad results. The system has become corrupted, in the sense of degraded or eroded.
To me, it's very important to understand how and why to start to figure out the points of leverage from which to build a better system.
